Beyond the treatment table: Making relief your new ritual.
My philosophy is rooted in the interconnectedness of the human experience, where therapeutic touch, emotional release, and spiritual alignment meet. Honoring the ancient wisdom of bodywork, elevated by modern training, to create a sanctuary where transformation is not just possible, but inevitable.
I’m Sarah Johnson LMT , and I created Rooted Ritual Bodywork as a sanctuary for those seeking to reconnect with their physical selves through the art of grounded, intentional touch. In a world that constantly pulls our attention outward, I invite you to turn your focus inward. My work is built on the belief that true wellness is Rooted—it requires a deep connection to our foundation and an understanding of the stories our muscles carry.
I view bodywork as a Ritual: a rhythmic, recurring practice of coming home to yourself. By blending clinical knowledge with a soulful, intuitive presence, I help you release the layers of tension that keep you from moving through the world with ease.
Whether you are seeking relief from a heavy burden of pain or simply a moment of profound quiet, I am here to hold that space for you.
Swedish massage: A use of classic effleurage and gentle kneading to create a profound sense of space within. It is an intentional slowing down—a practice of presence that reminds you that you are more than your productivity. Leave the table feeling lighter, clearer, and deeply re-centered in your own skin. Ideal for clients who have high blood pressure, stress, depression, anxiety, or are new to massage therapy.
Deep Tissue: A slow, intentional journey into the deeper layers of muscle and fascia. We work together to break down the physical stories of old stress, realigning your foundation so you can move with a renewed sense of ease and strength. This technique is great for those with chronic pain, repetitive body movement or positions, postural problems, are athletes or have an active lifestyle.
Trigger Point: This technique is used to address direct knots, encouraging them to release. By applying steady, mindful pressure to these tension points, we invite the nervous system to let go of its grip. After deactivating a “ trigger point” it often alleviates referred pain. An effective treatment for tension headache and migraines, TMJ, and localized pain. Trigger point is often used in tandem with deep tissue.
Myofascial release: A hands-on therapy and with little to no lotion, using sustained and patient, pressure to stretch and manipulate fascial connective tissue. Releasing “stuck” fascia, restores function and range of motion to the body as well as pain relief. A great technique to use with lingering pain or discomfort from an old injury or anyone experiencing pain from stuck patterns. This is used in tandem with deep tissue and/or trigger point therapy.
Cupping: This is an ancient technique that utilizes silicone suction cups to assist in releasing muscles tension, myofascial restrictions, and improving range of motion.
Aromatherapy: Hand crafted blend applied topically and diffused to enhance and promote natural healing.
